Loop 8

Description

This is a Sokoban-inspired puzzle game with a twist: you only have 8 moves per loop. Start a new loop anytime—your past actions will be replayed by your shadow.

Controls

WASD – Move

Space – Wait (does not consume a move)

E – Start a new loop

Z – Undo

R – Restart

ESC – Main menu

Mechanisms

This section is a breakdown of all mechanisms. They are taught in the game, but when there is something you don't understand, return to this section.

• Movement: You and your shadow have 8 moves per loop. Moving into obstacles still counts. Waiting does not. Being pushed doesn't count as a move.

• Shadows: A shadow replays your exact inputs from its loop (movement and wait only). It can be pushed, activate buttons, and obeys all movement rules.

• Health Kit: When a player or shadow stands on one, it revives the shadow from the previous loop of the player of shadow that touches it(if dead). Each kit can only be used once and only if there’s a valid shadow to revive.

Cheat Code

Since I really want you to see the ending, I added a cheat code to allow you  to skip levels. 

To skip a level: while in-game, press B + N + M simultaneously. The level will be marked as complete.
